Diet Chop Suey
Diet Chop Suey is one of those beautiful "mix n match" meals where you can add almost any type of vegetable and still produce a great tasting meal in a matter of minutes. The real secret is not to allow any individual taste to become dominant. The great delight of this dish is the variety of tastes that it can produce without one taste leaving a greater impression than the next. This recipe is a very basic chop suey and it is up to you to add other ingredients to produce the taste that you seek.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef, extra lean. (You can use diced meat if preferred).
2 cans tomato soup -- 10 3/4 oz (300 grams)each.
1 can cooked tomatoes -- 14.5 oz (400 grams).
1 cup sliced mushrooms.
1 package of Asian noodles (Elbow macaroni can be used) 16 oz (450 grams)
Method:
Brown ground beef and drain. Meanwhile, cook noodles/macaroni according
to package directions, drain.
In a large pot, combine all ingredients and heat.
It is also acceptable to add vegetables to taste.
Diet Chop Suey is a perfect mix n match meal. You like a different ingredient - you add it.
