Diet Chop Suey

Diet Chop Suey is one of those beautiful "mix and match" meals where you can add almost any type of vegetable and still produce a great tasting meal in a matter of minutes. This recipe is a very basic chinese beef recipe and it is up to you to add other ingredients to produce the taste that you seek. Submitted by David McCarthy, Australia


  • 1 pound ground beef, extra lean (You can use diced meat if preferred)
  • 2 cans tomato soup, 10 3/4 oz (300 grams)each
  • 1 can cooked tomatoes, 14.5 oz (400 grams)
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 package of Asian noodles (Elbow macaroni can be used) 16 oz (450 grams)


Brown ground beef and drain. Meanwhile, cook noodles/macaroni according to package directions, drain.

In a large pot, combine all ingredients and heat.

It is also acceptable to add vegetables to taste.
