French Hamburger gives a touch of European finesse to the humble burger by adding sour cream and onions to the ground beef and topping it with a simple gravy. The result is a dish that will make your guests reassess their view of the hamburger. Submitted by David McCarthy, Australia
Mix together first five ingredients and form into patties.
Brown in skillet until desired doneness. Remove to platter and keep warm.
Pour all fat from skillet and reduce heat to low. Add 1/4 cup beef bouillon (or more) scraping bottom of pan for extra flavoring.
When boiling, add lemon juice and butter or margarine.
Boil for 1 minute and then pour over hamburger patties.
