Sauces Make the Meal

By adding sauces to your meal, you convert from the mundane to the restaurant standard.

This is why the ability to make them is important if you seek to influence guests, or just add to the family meal to turn it into a culinary masterpiece.

There are many types available on the supermarket shelf these days, but I have never found one that replicates the taste of homemade.

I'm sure that I don't need to tell you this but it is an important tip: Never serve anything to guests first time you make it. Try it out first to be sure that you know the taste and the recipe. Then when you answer questions on it you will sound like an expert.

Bon appetit.
