Turkey Burger with Onions, no way! But being an experimental type, I just had to try it for myself.
My main fears concerned turkey meat drying out during cooking.
Cream was the obvious answer, because it is used regularly in making sauces. You need to add such a small amount of cream, it is unlikely that it will cause a major negative by adding fat to the lean, low fat, turkey meat. In short, it will be less fattening than traditional ground beef.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add Spanish onion slices. Cook, stirring until onions are caramelized, about 20 minutes.
While the onions are cooking, mix the turkey, cream, green onions, salt, thyme and pepper. Mix gently and form 4 patties.
Heat a grill pan (or skillet) on high heat; reduce heat to medium high. Add patties; cook until lightly browned on one side for about 6 minutes. Turn patties and cook until browned and cooked through.
Halve the buns and spread with mayonnaise. Place lettuce leaves on each bun half. Put warm caramelized onion on top of the lettuce. Place a patty atop the onion and add a slice of tomato.
Serve Turkey Burger as open faced sandwiches with a side salad if desired.
Add a beaten egg to the turkey mixture as a binding agent for the patties.
