Sweet Potato

Here’s an easy sweet potato recipe for holidays or any time you’re in the mood for Sweets. The brown sugar gives that candied taste. Try not to overdo it.

Ingredients

6 sweet potatoes, washed, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch slices
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tbsp butter
1 1/4 cups hot water

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

In a baking dish, lay out the sweet potatoes. Mix the sugar. salt, butter and water. Pour over the potatoes.

Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Remove cover and bake until potatoes are tender, about 30 minutes.
