This Turkey Burger Recipe has a tasty Mediterranean twist thanks to feta cheese blended into the burger. Serve on pitas with spinach and red onion for a delicious, light lunch that makes any gathering special.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of mayonnaise
2 tsp curry powder
1 lb. ground turkey breast
2 oz feta cheese with basil and tomato, crumbled
1/2 tsp salt
4 pita flat bread
8 red onion slices
8 spinach leaves
Instructions
Blend mayonnaise and curry in a small bowl.
In a large mixing bowl, place turkey and add 2 Tbsp of the mayonnaise blend.
Sprinkle in feta cheese and salt. Mix until well combined.
Heat the broiler.
Form the turkey mixture into 4 patties and place on the rack of a broiler pan.
Broil 4 inches from the heat for 12 minutes being sure to turn the burgers half way through the cooking time.
Spread the remaining mayonnaise blend onto the pitas.
Place a patty onto one side of the pita and top with 2 slices of onion and spinach.
Fold the pita over the top and serve.
